Peony (2016) – Copper
Lush and opulent, peonies often symbolize wealth and prosperity. Which is lovely, but I thought I was drawing a cherry blossom.
This petite work of art was created from my original drawing of a
cherry blossom peony. It was etched into copper, and a patina applied to darken the metal. Areas of the patina were sanded back to reveal the beautiful red of the copper. Part of my Flowers series.
Artwork is stamped with my makers mark and signed. Arrives mounted in a black wood frame suitable for either wall or shelf display. Ready to hang.
